I am an Accredited Clinical Integrative Psychotherapist, Counsellor & Cognitive Behavioural Therapist registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
I embarked my career in mental health in 2006 and since then I gained extensive experience working in different organisations including NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT), specialised NHS services, University Counselling Services, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) as well as working for charities and respectable private companies in Central London.
People come to therapy for various reasons, coping with anxiety and depression, working through relationship issues, navigating life transitions, managing stress, finding balance or enhancing overall wellbeing. My private practice is dedicated to providing high-quality therapy. I offer integrative evidence based therapy to adults that is client-centered, tailored to each person’s unique treatment needs. Therapy can be carried out face to face and online and booked as one off, time limited (6, 8, 12 and 24 sessions) or long term in both English and Greek. My practice is located in Central London, at the heart of Regent Street in Soho.
I am passionate about supporting people to improve their wellbeing, make positive changes and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I believe in personal and professional development through self-awareness. My work is rooted in my belief that we heal and thrive in relationships where we feel understood and accepted as who we are. My philosophy is that combining elements from different approaches and tailoring the treatment according to individual’s needs works best. My aim is to support people to discover who they are at their core by exploring the very issues that are blocking their true nature.
How I work?
The way I work is integrative which means that I combine different approaches and techniques and tailor them based on individual's needs. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients and I view the quality of the working relationship as the most important component of therapy. I draw heavily on psychodynamic approach which uncovers blind spots in order to identify and confront the hidden sources of difficulties and relational which enhances insight and develop better, healthier ways of relating to oneself and others through a focus on the client/therapist relationship. I also, incorporate skills based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and coaching techniques. The focus is on reducing negative symptoms while exploring issues related to identity (cultural, sexual, career, life transitions) and relationships (peers, intimates, family) to promote a more authentic experience of oneself.
I work with a wide range of difficulties, from feelings of depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, difficult relationships and workplace problems to cultural difficulties and diagnosed mental health conditions.Mental health presentations that I work with include, but are not limited to are; Addictions, Anxiety, Cultural issues, Depression and low mood, Health anxiety (HAI), Low Self-Esteem or Low Confidence, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Attacks Depression, Phobias, Physical Health Conditions, Social Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Sexuality, Social Anxiety, Stress,Trauma and Wellbeing issues.
