The following terms will apply to your therapy ongoing:

Appointments last for 50 minutes from the scheduled start time, regardless of the client’s time of arrival.
-
Sessions will be at regular times and dates on a weekly basis or as agreed.
-
Missed or cancelled sessions are chargeable and you will be responsible for payment.
-
For emergencies you can call me on my mobile or email me and I will respond as soon as possible. At a time of crisis please: contact your GP, attend your local Accident & Emergency (A&E) department, telephone the Emergency Services on 999, or telephone The Samaritans on 116123.
-
I may take up to 8 week’s break per year and will inform you in advance of any breaks.
-
Timing for ending the ongoing therapy is mutually agreed in advance so that ending sessions will subsequently held. I require at least 4 sessions notice in order to plan our ending.
-
Payments are made in cash or bank transfer. The fee and the frequency of the payment (weekly or monthly) is discussed and agreed during the initial consultation. For overdue invoices there is a 5% interest fee added on the total invoice.
-
Fees are reviewed annually.
-
I abide by the code of ethics pertaining to my professional body the British Association for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (BABCP) and United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
-
The content of the sessions is confidential and will only be discussed in supervision. My work is supervised, as required by professional guidelines. I have a duty to keep reference to the client material as anonymous as possible.
-
There may be circumstances where there might be sufficiently concerns about the risk of serious harm to the client or a third party that the therapist feels the need to inform the supervisor. In this case, the supervisor would decide with the therapist on any necessary course of action. The only other exception to the therapist maintaining confidentiality would be where the therapist may be required by a court to give evidence under oath.
